The light and the words
My refuge where I talk about Books, Spirituality, causes that move me and current affairs
The Blog – my Identity Card
As we know, the ID card is a card which contains our place and date of birth, the name of our parents and our tax identification. Although it contains relevant information about ourselves, the truth is that it says little about the person we are: if we think about it, no one ever got to know someone just by reading their ID card.
In my Blog, I intend to create a digital identity card, a little more complete than the usual: in this space, I want to talk to you about the causes that move me, about current affairs and, naturally, about everything related to writing, books and spirituality.
I hope you enjoy together, with me, this journey through a world where words fall in love, photographs enchant and experiences mark. Sometimes written in a diary register, this Blog aims to be a space of freedom that is not constrained by interests of any kind, but it is only the expression of the person I am.
Thank you for keeping me company!
Why write about such different subjects?
First of all, this website is the result of many unsuccessful attempts, in the past, to create a digital platform where I could present my work, in a way that could transmit my way of being in life. After much work and reflection, I arrived at this final product, which is adjusted and authentic to the person I am.
Once I created this website that embodies my spirit, it soon became clear to the whole team that helped me design this space, that my purpose was not only to talk about my writing and present my products. It was much more than that.
I want to talk to you about books, about reading, about experiences, about causes, and also, about how Pandemic is redesigning our perspective on life, as well as our relationship with others.
Starting with reading. I have been discovering magnificent books recently, mostly unknown to the general public, which expose beautiful reflections about our position in the world, and our connection with spirituality.
I also want to tell you about the Causes that I try to promote such as Endometriosis and Autism, and that deserve a greater sharing of information among all of us, so that there is a greater collective awareness of these issues.
It is also my intention to tell you small episodes that happen around me, and that I think deserve to be retold, through another perspective. This task of deconstructing reality through the analysis of all its pieces is what I am passionate about in my creative process.
Finally, you will be able to read my articles about this Pandemic, which has redesigned our world: we all know that there is a before and an after with this collective experience.
But before I finish these few words about the purpose of my website, I need to clarify: I am a writer, not an expert in past life regression techniques or spiritual development techniques My stories are fictionalised, and I decided to choose this path of writing – which deals with more spiritual themes – as it appeals to my passions, and my interests. I am not a medium, nor do I intend to sell mediumship services, such as channelling energies between human beings and spirits.
My position should not be confused with the opinion I may share on these issues. Like everyone else, I think about existential questions like life after death and our purpose on earth, but that doesn’t make me an expert on the subject: just a keen observer who uses words to tell stories.
I want to be known for what I am. And what I am – what we are – is too complex to explain in a short biography of a few lines. We are all, without exception, an amalgam of different experiences that acquire a dimension within us. It is this unique way that each of us has of interpreting them in our own way that makes us unrepeatable human beings.
My first forays into writing
My book “Hypnosis, a Return to the Past” is thus my first story that materializes, I would say, my interest in themes related to spirituality.
But on my website you will also find references to another book I published in 2015, which is the result of my journey in Law, specifically on the legal and social aspects of volunteering (Trabalho Voluntário: uma reflexão jurídica e social – Voluntary Work: a legal and social reflection). This is a topic that I also intend to bring to this Blog, because voluntary work is nowadays a fundamental part of certain institutions, and it is widely spread through various activities.
It is people and their unique dynamics that interest me.
It is human nature that dictates behaviour, fashions, trends and the way we interconnect; once the bond of spirituality with other human beings, and above all, with ourselves, is broken, the door is opened to dehumanisation and alienation.
I sincerely hope that in this Blog, you can find a soul that also understands your Voice.
