After publishing “Voluntary Work, a Legal and Social Reflection” I decided that I wanted to continue writing, but in a different genre.

I had left my career as a lawyer behind, having started working with the German market, so it only made sense for me to pursue fiction. The notions of time and what we can do with it fascinated me. Therefore, I conceived a visionary fiction story, in which a patient was able to access her past lives through hypnosis.

I decided to publish this book in English, after several revisions and corrections, which proved to be very extensive over time. In 2019, with the help of a team working in the “self-publishing” area in London, the book “Hypnosis, a Return to the Past” was published, which is currently available on Amazon and Ingram Spark . I submitted the book to several international self-publishing competitions, which won several awards. I would like to highlight a few: at the Annual National Indie Excellence Awards 2019 it was a finalist in its category, having also won the Visionary award at the American Fiction Awards, 2019. I was naturally happy with this award, having gained the notion that self-publishing abroad is worked and seen very differently in Portugal. This experience allowed me to learn a lot about the international publishing process and, who knows, guide other aspiring authors on a similar path.
