Hypnosis: A return to the past

After publishing “Voluntary Work, a Legal and Social Reflection” I decided that I wanted to continue writing, but in a different genre.

I had left my career as a lawyer behind and started working with the German market, so it only made sense for me to go into fiction. The notions of time and what we can do with it fascinated me. So I conceived a visionary fiction story in which a patient was able to access her past lives through hypnosis.

I decided to publish this book in English after several revisions and corrections, which proved to be very extensive in time. In 2019, with the help of a self-publishing team in London, the book “Hypnosis, a Return to the Past” was published and is now available on Amazon and Ingram Spark. I submitted the book to several international self-publishing competitions and it won several awards. I’d like to highlight a few: at the Annual National Indie Excellence Awards 2019 it was a finalist in its category, and it also won the Visionary award at the American Fiction Awards, 2019. Naturally, I was happy with this award, having learned that self-publishing abroad is handled and viewed very differently in Portugal. This experience has allowed me to learn a lot about the international publishing process and, perhaps, guide other aspiring authors along a similar path.
